Jack of all trades mastering them all!
For most of my life I have been in limbo, studying this and learning that. My story begins when I was in early junior school and realized I was different to the other kids. I never quite got school in the sense that I never fitted in, and found school very difficult. Later on it was determined that I was dyslexic and had ADDA ( Attention-deficit disorder) with serious reading and writing impairment. Due to this I only learn't to read and write in my fourth year of junior school.
However, although from a academic point of view I could be compared to a sloth, I found I had some hidden skills, like the ability to dismantle almost anything and put it together again. My father noticed this I guess and when I was 9 years old he surprised me with my first motorcycle, a 50cc scooter that was not running and needed some attention. A couple days later I was bombing around the yard having the time of my life any very proud to have fixed my first motorcycle.
From this point the rest was history! I was never academic and chose to spend the rest of my school career failing miserably or just scraping through to the next grade. On the other side of the coin I was running a small motorcycle workshop out of my bedroom window when I was supposed to be doing homework, fixing parts and spray painting motorcycle fairings, petrol tanks and bits and pieces in my DIY cupboard spray-booth. While my mom was at work I would often set here oven to a low heat and bake the paint onto all the bits and pieces I had spray painted for a better quality finish.
As my life continued this way up until the middle of high school I decided to drop out and start working, after all school was just not working and I knew I was wasting my time. I needed to except the fact I was not academic, but in all honestly never knew were I fitted in constantly being criticized by people saying... You will never amount to anything without a education!
After working a few jobs I eventually landed an apprenticeship with Kawasaki after I had been employed to work as a skivvy for there workshop. I worked through my 18 month apprenticeship period and when I was done pushed to do my Trade test. Unfortunately my boss informed me that because I only had Std 7 High school and had never metricated I was unable to do my trade-test as the minimum requirements were Std 8.
I was upset because they had failed to notify me of this when I began my apprenticeship and realized they had been using me as cheap labor for the past 18 months as I had been working on the bench alongside the qualified mechanics after working for only three months for the company.
I resigned from Kawasaki immediately out of anger and frustration, and soon landed a job working for a small Chinese motorcycle shop. This lasted for about 8 months as the business folded due to lack of availability of parts from the manufacture and suppliers.
From this point I lived life, working on and off here and there until my dad who has always been very successful employed me to build a new house for him. I spent three years working for and with my Father who taught me how to brick-lay, install plumbing, electrical and all those good things.
I had officially become a jack of all trades and a master of none!
A couple years ago I discovered web design and realized I some how had the ability to read code and program, However natural web design came to me, I struggled to study due to my past and found my journey as a web developer would be fun but challenging. Fast forward a couple years and I had earned multiple diplomas in web design, online business development, SEO and content management.
I am now proud to announce that on the 27/10/2016 I officially used the bitcoin I had saved to attend a training course and successfully acquire my Trade-Certificate as a qualified motorcycle mechanic. I received a distinction with a final passing grade of 98%!
I now have...
Diploma in web design
Diploma in web development
Diploma in online business development and marketing
Trade-teat certificate as a motorcycle technician
Today I have achieved so much and looking back realized that I never failed the educational system, I had simply fallen into the very small percentage of people where the educational system had failed us!
My advice to anyone is believe in yourself and never give up! We are all different and in the end we only know what is best for ourselves. Follow your heart and passion and you will be just fine.

Good piece @vritashare. Thanks for sharing.
You failed nothing. The "system" failed you. Rather than promote your innate strengths, it denigrated you because of your weaknesses. It's not designed to make students succeed. It's designed to fit students into a box of conformity. Great job breaking free of the artificial bonds of the state training status quo.
@anotherjoe, thanks for the feedback!
