The debate over raising the minimum marriage age to 18 in New Hampshire's House of Representatives stirred controversy, particularly fueled by Republican state Rep. Jess Edwards' argument. If Governor Sununu signs the bill into law, New Hampshire will align with 11 other states in banning marriage under 18 with no exceptions, according to UNICEF data.
