When did you stop believing in marriage and why?

Personally for me, I have never stopped believing in marriage because its a institution ordained by God but I know that there are many people out there who have stopped believing in marriage for one reason or the other. Everybody have different sides to viewing things, because I believe in marriage does not mean someone else will also believe in marriage.

Here are some of the reasons why people have stopped believing in marriage:

Divorce: The rate of divorce happening everyday is just too much that can make someone easily loose hope in any thing a marriage have to offer because one will just think that why should I marry when there is some chances that it will end in divorce.

Background: The kind of family an individual is brought up from can play a major role in an individual been interested or loosing interest in marriage. Its a almost a normal thing for a girl growing to see her father always beating her mother to loose interest in marriage because she might have the fear that that's how guys behave.

Heartbreaks: Someone who have experience several heartbreaks can easily loose interest in marriage. He or she will just loose trust for any kind of relationship that can lead to marriage.

What I have written above are just few of many reasons that can cause someone to loose interest in marriage, other reasons can include policies, personal decision, environment, experience of people around them.
