Man credited with calling the 2008 crisis says the next 20 years in the stock market will ‘break a lot of hearts’

Jeremy Grantham is not optimistic about the United States stock market over the next couple decades.

Over the past 100 years, the stock market provide fabulous returns to investors. This will not continue according to Grantham.

He believes the United States markets will yield 2%-3% over the next couple of decades. The present market is also over priced even after the recent pullback at the end of 2018.

Emerging markets like China should be able to give investors 6%-8% while the U.S. lags.

Grantham is credit with calling the 2008 crisis.
