Most of social media users want their minds to be jerk off. Look at all the big channels or blogs on most social media platforms. The people who have the most outlandish stories usually get more views. Now there are a few good blogs/channels who receive decent views. However, not as much as the doom and gloom channels/blog.

I believe people are attracted or conditioned to seek bad news over good news. That´s why we read all the crash stories just about every week, yet the markets keep on making new all time highs.
