#1.00 Written down thoughts (Steemit, positioning, true values)

I m currently working on something, but I small idea came to my head, which I though could be useful for the community.

Surfing around here, I've came across a guy who is reinvesting all the upvotes value he is earning on the post and video he made into advertising, I briefly watched first couple minutes and the guy is really exited about the fact people get paid for commenting, upvoting, curating and etc. I mean its cool and stuff, and thats what society is about, getting together and giving what each one has to offer.

Positioning

I think it is wrong positioning, maybe not wrong, but still it over promises to new and potential users the material benefits that could arise from their blogging/socialising activities. Instead I suggest promoting really awesome feature of this blockchain use, maybe tell stories of everyones participation, some do clean ups and flag or downvote spammers or abusing users, others mine or curate, while others create content and over long term slowly, steadily build up a community of their own surrounding them.

Some create bots to make life of newbies easier and many more, if promote, promote from the side of diversity and trust between participants, since this is decentralised group. And only after mention that you also get paid for doing so, but don't expect to substitute your work, and if this kind of approach is considered, explaining the backbone even to your friends, this would bring more worthy users and lower number of people leaving (sry I don't have statistics for inactive accounts, I just assume some might not stay).

This also brings another point of barriers to get bigger in Steemit, by bigger I mean gain like minded followers or find followers to make your feed interesting and exiting to visit, just like trending or hot pages, learn from and help others and see your value in community rise over time.

Interesting story happened to me, I recently found a project called @randowhale, without M. I will now explain what I mean with by without M, so its a random whale with proxied amount of steem power delegated to him, so that his upvote can significantly raise your payout for post. I've decided to try it for myself, but I miss spelled the name, I wrote randoMwhale, which happened to be some guy, whos been downvoted by the community, not sure for what reason, by any how after finding about this project, I reckon how steemd shows he registered this account, so that people like me would misstypo 2SPB or Steem into his account. (Btw this is what you send rando whale to get random upvote from 1-50% vote power).

So @noganoo, who made this thing I respect, I meant its quite smart idea to come up with, and I m only the one to blame, even thou it doesnt seem much for me or him either (I think around 5 people send a total of 10 SBD to 'fake'). So to noganoo I say well play sir.

But what interesting happened after:

so @thatmemeguy actually monitored this situation and came across to my blog to tell me whats happening.

@streetstyle send me his own 2SBD, which I greatly appreciate and I mean cmon this is what if you want to advertise you should be talking about, how people from all other the world who don't know each other, come together to create something and add true value to it everyday.

If you were still to advertise, which I don't believe in general (advertising), because as a great man said:

Hmm you might have realised, i say i don't believe in advertising yet i wanted to promote my own post using this whale, it is true to certain extend, but I have decided for myself it is rather wrong to randomly upvote your own content even at this stage, I m still learning and looking around, I see it as another tool to speed up the process of growing to the next stage after minnow? But I'll definitely use it to upvote newcomers, if I like what they do, I see it as a gift and when I get slightly bigger, or maybe not, if really like it.
