RE: Marketing and Ranking on Google with the new changes | My introduce yourself post
Hi. Digital Marketer here.
Welcome to Steemit. I think you'll find it better if you don't come in hard selling your firm's success.
And with all due respect, you made BOATLOAD of claims that unless you work for Matt Cutts' team at Google, you would have absolutely no idea about. There isn't a person on the planet outside of that group that knows about the algo weights. In fact, as of earlier this year they began rolling out algo updates unannounced and will continue to do so going forward.
The best the collective SEO community can do is share information on specific sites and make broad generalizations to form a hypothesis about what changed aka what was the penalization factor. Then the community tests and makes their best guess at findings. Sometimes, actually alot of the time, there isn't even a consensus. THat's because there are 200 variables (that we are aware of) and we will never have the ability to get a large enough sample to test the structure and profile of each website.
I'm tempted to flag this post tbh. It's already mislead quite a few in the comments.
"Your Quote: Google’s report shows that Social engagement makes up 67% of the decision factor (algorithm) in ranking anything online."
Please produce a link to that report. You would be a billionaire if you knew that kind of information. Not to mention AGAIN, what is public knowledge is their are approximately 200 ranking factors (both on page and off) that have individual weights in the algo and some of those 200 factors aren't even used. It's changed as frequently as daily now...and that is a quote from google.
If you have a report direct from Matt Cutts' team saying otherwise, your entire post is what I assume just anecdotal or you've been sold an overpriced mastermind course that scammed you and you should try and get your money back.
What I like about Steemit the most is that there has yet to be much selling or unsourced claims. I'd like to do my part by keep it that way.
I'll put up an embarrassing avatar for a week if you show me a document signed by Matt Cutts quote the social algo weight is 67%
I said in my post I was not gong to get into a debate about what works and what doesn't. Its people like you that think you know something when you don't, that makes it hard for those that really do want to show people the right way.
Matt Cutts doesn't even work for Google anymore, or did you know that?
Its also been proven (by other reporters) that Matt Cutts when he did work for Google, when asked directly about these different issues in public, would out and out lie, because Google doesn't want the public to know some of the important facts.
There are many other places and organizations that are far better at research than I that say the same things in my post. Majestic, Moz and others in their research show the same results. YOU need to go do your own research before you go out and start making allegations.
I did not once insinuate or elude that I'm sell a training course!
I do have a screen shot of the chart that Google published with the 67% bar at the top, but because it doesn't have the title on it, so I'm not going to put that up.
You are entitled to your opinion, but I did say in Large print, WARNING There will be several issues that I will cover that are going to be controversial! (just for people like you)
I will say this, My clients are Happy with the white hat results they are getting.
I have found out going through life that its people like you that are jealous of those that go out and do the hard work.
No hard feelings, keep doing what you are doing, it keeps me with lots of clients.
If I didn't know what I was doing and couldn't produce results, do you think big companies would stay as clients?
all you're doing is paraphrasing neil patel...
please don't tell me i don't know what i'm doing. i know exactly what im doing.
you however have not produced one source which is all i asked for.
