When you’re looking to make real money off of your products and services, there’s really only one way to do it: by selling high ticket items. Let’s look at a quick example: if you sell a service or product for $200, you’ll have to sell it 100 times to make $20,000. On the other hand, if you sell a service or product for $2,000, you’ll only have to sell it 10 times to make the same amount of money.

Selling high ticket products and services is a real dream for many entrepreneurs, because they understand the value in high ticket items. That’s why I focus so heavily on high ticket clients, to the point where I’m known as “The High Ticket Client Guy.” So if you want to know how to sell high ticket products and services in 2020, I’m here to help you get started.

Make sure you’re delivering real value

My first step in selling high ticket products and services is to make sure what I’m selling is really worth that amount of money. You don’t want to charge high prices for a lackluster product, because even if you can get people to sign on initially, word will quickly spread, and your support will sputter out.

In order to consistently land high-ticket clients, you need to start with your product, and make sure it’s delivering high-ticket value.

Become confident asking for high prices

Many times, I hear the same thing from entrepreneurs: they’re not really comfortable asking for high ticket prices, or they’ll quickly waver when potential customers push back on their prices. In order to earn high ticket prices, you have to firmly and confidently ask for them.

If you don’t believe in the price of your service, no one else will. And if you have guilt over asking for a high price, know that if it’s offering real value (see the first tip) then it’s worth it to your customers.

Target the right audience

If you’re looking to sell high ticket products, you need to make sure the audience you’re speaking to has that kind of money to spend. If you’re targeting the wrong audience, say, young adults who are mostly spending their parent’s money, you may not have the kinds of sales you’re looking for.

Brush up on your high-ticket clients skills

Whether your looking to sell a product or a course, it’s important to also invest in yourself and your skills. Not one of us high-ticket experts was made this way overnight, and I know for myself, it took a lot of time and resources to build myself up to where I am today.

If you’re looking to really make a ton of money selling high ticket products, I highly recommend you invest in your own advanced training. I offer the Douglas James course, which will help you grow your business in many different ways.

I also offer plenty of other services, including digital marking training and SEO, in order to help you sell the high ticket product or service of your dreams.
