Whether you enjoy the process of email marketing or see it as a necessary evil. Email marketing is here to stay because it is:

*Professional
*Inexpensive
*Diplomatic
*Adaptable

There are a few obstacles to overcome before a prospect becomes a paying customer, but the effort is still worth the reward.

Starting with visibility, because online businesses don’t have the overt visibility that brick and mortar businesses have, online businesses need to become visible appropriately.

This means building your website and promoting traffic. It also means doing some extra homework, researching your business’s product and service value, both real and ideal. To have a realistic understanding of how your business stands up to things like demand and competition not to mention economic changes helps keep the goals in check. As for ideals, we have to be able to believe in our business value in order to convince anyone else, so aim high.

Braiding – The Three Methods of List Building

All of your customers will fit into one of the three sections.

Section one - People who find your website, ad, or blog and reach out to you. Making cool posts on social media, answering questions in a helpful manner, and offering freebies are just a few ways to let attraction work for you.

Section two – People that respond to your external promotions. This could be by way of ads, cold contacting, or networking (responding to other ads in order to strike up a conversation).

This group may not have been seeking you out, but they are willing to click on your links and leave information on your capture pages.

Section three – Businesses that best benefit from your products and services. Contacting businesses, while harder to get to a decision maker, is often preferable because you don’t have to be as fearful of being treated too harshly while getting your sea legs. For this section, this is where your research notes come in handy. You need to know what problems your company solves in order to get the ear rather than the eye of business customers.

When you have steadied these three groups for your business, your list will grow on its own. So be certain that your products and services are as ready-to-roll and user intuitive as possible to keep your customers happy and your reputation in good standing.
