Your Story and Marketing to Your Audience.

Winning in this game is all about consistently producing relevant content to a targeted audience that moves on your offer and provides useful feedback.

It is a simple formula really, but only a few have the stamina to stay the course over the long haul. Those that do will almost certainly succeed.

Lets take a look at the pieces of the formula:

  • The first objective is always to produce the content. Anything useful is infinitely greater than 0, but finding out what your audience wants is going to multiply your efforts.
  • Figure out who your audience really is. This is not as easy and obvious as most people think. It is matter of breaking down your assumptions into tests to gain insight into who really wants your offer. Once this audience begins to take shape, the magic can begin.
  • The tools we have today to search down our audience and market directly to them, no matter who they are and where they are is simply amazing. Facebook and Google are still the best start, but they are in no way the end. Each niche has its little areas of the Internet that they tend to congregate in. With a bit of work, they can always be found and engaged. With time spent engaging your audience with useful and relevant content, you can direct them to check out your offer.
  • Think of your offer as the bottom of a funnel. If you have any experience in Internet marketing, I'm sure you have heard of the funnel metaphor. All of your content and marketing are the wide open top of the funnel and your offer is the little hole on the bottom that all that traffic goes through. It is important that your offer portal is as robust and well polished as possible to maintain confidence in your brand and complete the sale.
  • Once you have won the business of your audience, there is one more very important thing to do: Listen. Ask your clients/ customers what more you can do for them. Look for their pain points and smooth them out. Find out if there are other products or services that they are interested in. Try to use this wonderful group of people that you have attracted to your business as a wealth of information that you can use to serve them further.

So, here is the question: Do you want to do all these things? Maybe you want to do some of them and hire out the others. These are important considerations. You may want to sit down and try to scheme out the whole process. It may be best to try to leave emotions at the door and think about what is best to obtain the marketing that your business needs. Decide what you and your team can do and get professionals to handle the parts you are least likely to succeed at. A good professional content creator and marketer can do most of the work for you, but is eager to work with a team to maximize their potential toward their goals.
