Visiting Savannah's Candy Kitchen // Berkunjung Ke Toko Cokelat

Another day, another story sharing of our latest vacation in Nashville, TN. Hopefully no one is bored, yet :P
Today I am blogging about our sweet visit to a known sweet store in Broadway, as it is perfect for #marketfriday gathering, hosted by @dwsigle ;-)
This store is called, Savannah's Candy Kitchen, and it definitely is one sweet store for sure, so many candies!

Kali ini aku mau ngajak teman ke toko permen yuk. Mumpung hari ini adalah #marketfriday, dimana kita bisa unggah cerita akan pasar/belanja-belanji, yang dimulai oleh ibu cantik @dswigle. Sudah pernah ikutan tagar ini?
Nah, toko permen yang kami datangi pas lagi liburan di Amrik tempo hari, bernama Savannah's Candy Kitchen
They make some of their goodies right there, at the store. So the smell inside is sugar sweet, chocolate thick, and just delicious smelling, makes me wanna camp in there :)
Di toko permen ini, mayoritas permen-permennya adalah buatan sendiri. Terutama yang berbahan dasar cokelat. Dan waduh, nih toko haruuuuum banget. Ga pingin pulang deh hahah
From candies and lollies, sweetened popcorns, gummies, all sorts of chocolates, bonbons, pretzels, marshmallows, you can find them at this store. Not to mention cold drinks, cute lunch tin boxes, packed souvenirs, so many varieties to choose from
Cookies, bars, slices, barks, and nutty goodies are every where you look. This is my kind of store lol
Dari apel berlapis cokelat, marshmallow berlapis cokelat, kue kering cokelat, segala cokelat, minuman dingin, hingga pernak-pernik souvenir cokelat dan bahkan kotak makanan, bisa ditemukan di toko ini
Pokoknya kalau teman suka manis-manis, bonbon, pasti bakalan senang sekali kalau berkunjung kesini :D
No to mention, they also offer gelato, ice cream, and sorbet, and all are prepared at the store as well. Tons of choices if your diet allows you :)
Per scoop started from $3.75 while per cup is close to $6. You can top them with chocolate and/or nuts, but of course you will have to pay extra for those.
They also have milkshake, but mainly the customers went for the ice cream, when I was there
Di toko permen ini mereka juga menawarkan beragam es krim, baik sorbet (yang mirip es krim, namun tidak menggunakan krim dalam olahannya), dan juga gelato (es krim khas Italia). Es krim, gelato, serta sorbet tersebut, semuanya juga buatan toko ini sendiri. Lumayan satu sendok es krim tuh harganya mulai dari $3.75 dan semakin naik, tergantung pilihan kita. Begitu pula kalau kita mau dikasih saus cokelat atau taburan lainnya, harus nambah lagi. Dan tentunya, ada milkshake juga.
The boys got an apple, a squeeze candy that comes from a tube, looking like a toothpaste lol, some candies inside a monkey packaging, where the monkey can play cymbals, and a box of edible band-aids hahaha
Karena produk-produk di toko ini muahal-muahal, kami ga banyak beli. Anak-anak hanya milih satu apel dan 3 macam permen lainnya. Yang satu mirip bentuknya handiplast wkwkwkw
Too bad tho the chocolate covered apple was already soft when we sliced it to try back at the hotel (there goes my $10 lol), and the candies we got apparently are from China instead locally made, boo-hoo, but it was still a nice visit, which I'd totally recommend it for anyone surfing around Broadway :) - but yeah, stick with the chocolates, I guess, if you'd like local homemade sweets, that is :)
Sayangnya pas kami coba tuh apel lapis cokelat, begitu balik ke hotel, apelnya sudah tidak segar, jadi agak lembek, wadao, ga seru habis. Apalagi mahal, 1 apel tuh sekitar $9 sekian, setidaknya yang kami beli tuh hampir $10, bayangkan satu apel 100 ribu Rupiah hahaha Belum lagi, ternyata permen-permen yang dipilih anak-anak tuh bukan buatan mereka, melainkan produksi Cina, gokil abis haha

seriously, at any candy stores, we always spent a fortune. the homemade ones are always expensive :P

They are definitely a happy bunch of kids ...all the sugar rush 😮
we did not get to try any while at the store :P we still had to walk super far to get to our hotel :P so no sugar rush there, just psyched kids ;-)
Ahh that place looks rather dangerous, if we got anywhere near there we'd be choice paralysed for ages XD
oh my, Fynn, the smell was wonderful, but as I said to choo at that time on chat, nothing we could really get, no dairy free ones, so we had to get candies instead, which later we learned the ones we got werent even made in USA but China hahah
Did you ask them for dairy free? I think with these kinds of things if enough people ask and they realise there's a market for it, they will make it happen :D

so many vegans in USA, but am not sure any visited, must have been tho, so there should have been dairy free one by now, one would think, but they also have a sign at the store regarding dairy usage and whatnot, so maybe that stopped vegans from asking in a way or two, idk

Wow that looks like a really cool uhm sweet shop! But do you mean that the apple cost 10 dollar for one piece :o I hope not? That's freaking expensive lol.. maybe you meant two? lol still an expensive apple lol.. Your kids are the cutest!
Common price for home bakers are $12, makes sense for store front around $9-$10
Chocolate covered apples are always expensive (candy and caramel apples are a bit less than chocolate covered)

sometimes I got some souvenirs to take home to gift away and would feel so embarrassed when I realized just before handing them, that the gifts were made in China instead Canada haha I mean, Indonesia/Australia are way closer to China!
When I was going to Venice, someone told me to be careful of the masks I buy because some are made in China
So when I went looking for the masks, I checked labels to make sure it said Made in Venice hahaha

Edited to remove remark about taking Gmuxx there, had just woke up, wrong city. LOl they have this store in both :) and ive been to both and got confused (I lived in Nashville for ten years, my parents are buried there and my daughter still lives there) Glad you are having fun!
