RE: MARKET FRIDAY: Farmers Market in Gävle

No, you are the best, Denise!!

Thank you for hosting this wonderful initiative! I’m totally hooked by now! I’m thinking of visiting Uppsala – just to gather enough material for the next week’s #MarketFriday post, haha! :D

If you ever decide to visit Sweden, you can bring a few bottles of oil with you back to the US. :) It’s guaranteed GMO-free here! I will buy you a fresh loaf of crunchy bread from Falun then, okay? Because if I save one for you now, it’ll get all dry and mouldy before I get a chance to hand it over to you. :)))

How come you speak Swedish, by the way?

Have a Happy Market Friday!!

I have been to Sweden and sure I will make it back there again. I look forward to some of that GMO-free oil. Oh, the bread is a perfect combination to go with it. Yes! I shall put my request in far enough ahead and providing we are in the country at the same time. We both seem to have jobs that moves us about.

Why do I speak Swedish? Or please stop speaking Swedish? I was not clear on that. ;)

Thanks again and Happy #MarketFriday!

I'm sure you speak Swedish but you don't want to let us know (hehe!)

@bluemoon Hehehehe. It is probably as good as your Swedish!

Oh, I'm glad that we are equal to something!

LoL I really enjoy the sound of your Swedish, Denise! You have a funny accent, you know! ;-p Please keep practising – you’ll find it useful, when you’re visiting Sweden next time. (Although nearly everybody here speak some degree of English, as you know).

Why thank you! I was hoping you didn't notice! :P

I will be doing the Finland Sweden Norway region when I come. (only the part of Finland that speaks Swedish! LOL) I do know that most speak English, but also that is it polite to at least make a concerted effort to know a little bit of the native language.

They speak better English than most Americans

Then you should definitely check out Åland, when you visit! Situated between Sweden and Finland (half-way between Helsinki and Stockholm by ferry boat), it technically belongs to Finland. But it reality it’s semi-autonomous and self-governing. Everyone speaks Swedish and English on the island. They use euro (which is weird to me), but culturally it’s more or less just like Sweden. Very friendly people, great food (lots of fish and veggies), beautiful nature! Make sure you visit in the summer though! :D
