MarketFriday - initiated by @dswigle - Street Vendors in Thailand....!!
Let me take you for a tour around my local area and show you how happy these street vendors are to serve you with a smile and provide you with the best street meals and sweets that are like five star at such a low cost and superb tasting.
Here we have the sweets lady who makes all her sweet cakes fresh daily she has custard , vanilla cakes and many more flavors and small golden pumpkins filled with custard sprinkle with coconut slices that one is my favorite.
As they say amazing Thailand anything you need is at your doorstep. Thailand is known to be one giant kitchen everywhere you look someone is cooking up a mouth watering dish weather it's in a restaurant , corner stand or simply a vendor who will roll out there cart and park on the side of the street.
Next to the sweets lady we have my man who does the best BBQ chicken in town cut up for you in what ever amount you want with the choice of chili sauce or sweet and chili sauce to go with it. Or his wife will serve you up with chicken satay BBQ chicken on the stick with some peanut sauce.
Then there is my fried fish street vendor who was cooking up some lovely juicy snapper fish on her cart in a large fry pan with a portable gas bottle and the aroma coming from that cart struck my senses of smell and i just had to take some home with me today was fish day for me.

Roasted Duck another Dish i love with rice and assorted vegetables with variety of sauces.
There is not only food vendors who are at your convenience but also vendors that will fix your watches, do any alterations or repairs to your clothing even repair your shoes on the spot as this lovely hard working lady who sits on her little stool repairing shoes all day long i have used her a couple times very efficient , convenient and cheap.
The rice patty lady who BBQ's sticky rice patty's on her hot charcoal grille with a bit of tasty butter smeed over them to give them that crunchy barbecue rice taste.....so yummy a great snack.
All the fresh fruits cut up and ready to take home or at work with you....watermelon, pineapple, cut up apples, mango and many more fruits cut up fresh daily.
Freshly made varieties of sandwiches to pick up on the way to work for your lunch break or coffee break.
Fried pork crisp like taco shells or large potatoes chips crunchy and tasty to eat on the run.
The fresh veggie man for all your veggie stir fried dishes.
The local lottery lady selling the government lottery ticket a great seller in Thailand as Thai's believe in lucky numbers that are read out by the Buddhisms.
This is something else that i love as a snack chicken , beef or pork sausages BBQ on a little vertical hot stove served with some cabbage, ginger or hot chili and mix of sauces great after a couple of beers.
Yummy boiled up sweet corn !
Roasted peanuts on the spot couldn't get them any fresher.
Bananas slightly cooked on a hot grille then saturated in sweet sugar syrups and served on a stick now there great for your diet.
Pork or Chicken on the stick with bit chili sauce yummy.
Deep fried crispy chicken pieces.
Assorted hot coffees , ice coffees or sweet chocolate all unique a taste.
Per-pairing for that lunch hour rush all the varieties of Thai dishes you can image all quickly served and tasty ranging from $1 -$2 a serve.
Preparing them fresh looking fish to be fried , steamed or barbecued.
This lovely lady i love she is so sweet and barbecues the best sweet potatoes , corn even bananas which are to sweet for me but the corn and the sweet potatoes ah.....they are out of this world just superb.
And this will be the last i promise there are so many more beautiful helpful vendors and these are all in my local area whom i buy from everyday as you can see i have many choices and there are a lot more which i can't list as this blog could go on forever but the last and not least is my sweet pastry lady who cooks up all her sweet pastries daily but got to limit myself to this one can get out of hand they are so soft and tasty and covered with sugar.

Thank you so much for the awesome shots, the descriptions of all the foods, so I will know what to eat and what not to bother with! The relationship you have with your everyone that you come across and the fact that you include them in your post.
It makes for a wonderful read, a fabulous write and it makes me want to go to Thailand tomorrow. I haven't seen so much yummy food in one stretch of road since Hong Kong.

Oh, grab the corn and the fish for me. I can smell it from here and Yummy delicious it smells so good!

They are friendly and delightful characters, great neighborhood to be living in they are all so kind and good at what they dish up the only problem is i always get more then i order as in bigger portion then needed but it's always good re-heated for lunch the next day.
Your right about the corn it is so sweet and goes well with the fish.

Thanks for sharing! I really appreciate how colorful everything looks in Thailand. Here in the US people paint houses and furniture very boring colors, grey, beige, and brown. When I own a house I think I will paint it bright purple and turquoise.
It's amazing how color brings everything to life i agree i was in Connecticut a little while back and yeah i did notice that it was kind of boring so please do paint your house in rainbow colors :)

Why are so many people wearing masks?
I know i really need to hold back at times or close my eyes as i'm walking pass these vendors.They just seem to have a great metabolism break down of food that we don't seem to have.
The reason about the mask, they are out on the streets selling food all day long so they wear them mask so not to be breathing in all that carbon moxide from car pollution.
That makes sense!
