Back in the day, these were used on a daily bases, that's how this great craft tradition was kept alive. However, these plates and ceramics are more heaviers thatn fine china, more breakable. You can use them but only with care. I have a big plate like the one on the first photo and use it to store fruits on my kitchen table.
