The markets in Romania are something really original, here have also modern things. An unbiased mixture of everything that people could ever use. In principle such a market is the mirror image of the respective place, low prices and good quality as well as good food.

Many thanks! The tree striezel is a cake made of baking yeast dough over an open fireplace, originating in south-eastern Transylvania. Tasty!

Your sausages and 'tree cakes' are similar to what we make at a BBQ (open fire cooking, braaivleis).

Our "stokbrood" (stick bread), difference being ours is a "boerewors" (local sausage) is placed onto a stick then wrapped bread around, simply delicious.

Wood carved bowls showing rings of tree inside simply gorgeous. Lovely market day share @almi

I do love those tree cakes! Oh, the slow cooking over the open fire? Oh, that is just baking the deliciousness right in!

The first shot where you show off the objects made of trees! I do not see too much of that, but admire how they look, and you can tell the age of the tree!!! How cool is that! The traditional plates are always beautiful and I am always drawn to them.

It isn't a market without the food, is it? Anything on the grill works for me, but, sausages are yummy! You really pulled out some awesome shots of the market! Thank you so much for being part of the challenge!
