Only Peace Will Keep the Dollar Afloat.

In this report, I cover the early market action in London on Friday, September 14th, 2018. I look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, the bond market, emerging markets, and the oil price.

Today I look at the history of the U.S. federal debt, interest rates, and war. I show how at present the U.S. could not afford to finance a major war like it did in the 1940s as debt levels are almost as high as they were in term of GDP at the end of WWII.

My conclusion is that the only way for the fiat dollar to survive is for the U.S. to foster cooperation and good relations with all the countries of the world including Russia and China especially.
