Getting Started
Block Quotes are quotations that are set apart from the main text of a written document.
Block quotes are commonly used when sending a reply to an email.
In Steemit, a block quote is distinguished from the main text by use of:
- indentation
- lighter font color
- a vertical line

Practice Makes Perfect
Now it's your turn to practice what you have learned.
- Open Steemit.com and click Submit a Story.
- Copy the following text and paste it into the Steemit Markdown editor. Notice how the text reacts differently based on the number of > used.
>This is a single line in the blockquote.
>This example contains two lines of blockquotes.
>This is the second line.
>
>The empty lines before and after will not be included.
>
>In order to include the middle line in a blockquote,

>you have to use the greater than sign.

lesson #9 sounds great, but lesson #4 was more educating. pls try to elaborate more on the further lessons, its really helping, Thanks a lot

I am trying to give the same value in each of the lessons, but sometimes there is not much to share in a lesson (and a lot more to share in others). I will be reviewing the lessons over the next few weeks in order to add content (if necessary) and make the lessons easier to understand. If you have any specific recommendations, please let me know!
