Showing you know the scene, when you accidentally refer to a specific type of cannabis as a "Strand" instead of "Strain." OOOPS! Here are a number of common mistakes to avoid...
It's called "CANNABIS," not marijuana. Using the term Marijuana is like constantly referring to women as "Slut."
Different types of cannabis are called "Strains."
Pollen is the super light powdery stuff which drops from MALE flowers of the cannabis plant. Not something you smoke.
"Trichomes" are the resin glands of the plant which are sticky when wet and shake off the flowers when dry. These can be smoked.
"Buds," in reality are the beginning formations of cannabis flowers. Mature and complete Female Cannabis flowers are commonly (and erroneously) referred to as "Bud."
"Hydroponic" does not have an "H" or an "F" in it. There's no "phonics" in hydro-Ponics...
"Leaching" is the process of feeding plain water to a cannabis plant over time, to reduce nutrients in the root zone.
"Flushing" is the process of using excessive water to quickly leach nutrients from soil/media in a short period of time.
"Curing" The process which takes place after drying has been completed. Curing is best done in sealed glass containers in a cool/dark place.
All very good clarifications! I try and try to get away from using marijuana because it is slang and degrading, yet I feel compelled to use the tag to cover as many people as I can...who are ok with the word. ;)

THE WORST thing a pothead hears is when other people refer to it as dope. I get so angry on the inside.. dopehead, that instantly sobers me up and makes me want to kill someone lol!! Drugs which are physically addictive, adderall (I mean amphetamines), ritalin (oops, I mean cocaine) and Methadone... I keep getting these wrong, it's heroin.
Have no clue on caviar or moonrocks. I do know if you have to add anything to your cannabis, to make it more attractive for sale, it doesn't say much about you as a grower. lol
I have to disagree about the word marijuana. While it did have horrible and racist origins, it has simply come to known as that by some persons currently alive, and those persons do not use the word in a demeaning whatsoever. While I do try to use the word cannabis instead, I simply do not agree that using the word marijuana is like using the word slut to refer to all women. Context isn't irrelevant.
People who still believe the lies about cannabis have very strong emotional reactions to the word. Their psyche does not have the same programming attached to the word cannabis. It's easier for them to hear the truth, when the word marijuana is not used.
It's a psyche thing. :D
I am in agreement that cannabis is a better word, but I don't agree that people who use the word marijuana necessarily have any bad intentions.
Total agreement here. :D Lots of awesome people still use the M word. :D
