Clean Cannabis is DELICIOUS! The smoke is soft, cool, aromatic and loaded with complex flavors...

It Pains Me When I Hear People Say Cannabis is Harsh

I've invested a great deal of time in discovering what clean cannabis is and how to grow it. Harsh cannabis is contaminated cannabis. Dust, nutrients, pesticides, heavy metals and loads of non-cannabis flavors and aromas are the main contaminants. Seriously unclean cannabis.

Many Cannabis Users are Switching to Vaping

The reason? Their cannabis is not clean. The smoke from unclean cannabis is hot, harsh and has an ashtray smell/taste to it. An ashtray smell and taste that gets worse as the bowl burns down. No wonder some people only smoke the first few hits in a bowl.

Clean Cannabis is Tasty to the Last Hit in the Bowl

You heard me. Deliciously fantastic, right to the last hit. This is what clean cannabis is like. Clean cannabis is very frangible, I need only the gentle pressure of my thumb to crush a dense flower into a bowl. I grab the single mainstem (with zero little stems coming off of it) and pull it out with a gentle twist.
Here's what it looks like packed.

You Take the First Small Toke

and you can barely feel the smoke, if at all. The complex aromas and flavors from the burned and vaporized terpenes assault your nose and tongue. You're not even sure you've gotten a good hit at all, the smoke caresses your lungs, waiting patiently for you to exhale.

As you exhale, your desire to eat the smoke overcomes you and you bite at it a few times. You're amazed at the volume of smoke you exhaled as well, you felt like only a tiny hit was in there. You look at the bowl and notice the off-white fluffiness of the ash beginning to show.

The Volume in the Bowl Drops

as the cannabis is slowly turned to ash. The flavor is still massively present, truly delicious, as you take a few more tokes. You slowly exhale the next few hits through your nose and mouth. Zero burn in your nose, nothing but wonderful aroma, zero harsh in your throat, nothing but amazing flavors on your tongue.

With only a few tokes left, you look at the ash in the bowl in amazement. So little ash, compared to the volume of the tightly packed bowl you started with.

Clean Cannabis is Truly an Amazing Taste Sensation for the Soul

I have a great many memories of sitting in different places in nature, enjoying the complexity of my cannabis. The slow, slow exhale of flavor and aroma is divine.

30 Minutes Later You Lick Your Lips

and go "Yum!" as you can still taste the terpenes from that last bowl. Simply Amazing

When you say "clean" do you mean cannabis grown hydroponically, or grown in organic soil?

Great Question :)

I mean 'clean' as in grown with an awareness cannabis is a dynamic/hyper accumulator plant.

Clean as in providing only what the cannabis needs and in a manner which provides zero excess to be absorbed by the plant. Yes, this means hydro, easiest way to achieve it.

I wrote a tutorial here.

I once grew a crop using organic methods, fully organic fertiliser, plus an extra dose of sugars and molasses, plus a massive amount of pulverised aloe vera. Then we also vented the output of a brewing vat into the chamber. The end result was far different from what the original clones were growing into from the source of the clones. It was paler, more sparkly and crystally, and when dry, they smoked very clean. The chemical grown cannabis had a bitter taste, it popped and crackled in the bowl, and it smelled bad. The organic grown of the same, very same plant, was amazingly better. It was also stronger. The flowers were so thick and dense we had a serious mold problem which I predicted would happen after I petitioned the manager of the little crop for another ventilation fan. I was right. We easily lost 25% of the crop and what remained was tainted with fungus.

Interesting

I too have noticed significant differences in how genetics turn out in my garden. They're much frostier and tastier than anything else I've had, the last 8 years. (So Cal and Colorado)

The Hydro You Sampled was Contaminated

Very, VERY few hydro growers are aware of what it takes to grow cannabis cleanly. 90%+ of the information available is wrong. Organic also grows dirtier cannabis than my hydro methods, or all the organic I've been sampling is just horribly wrong. lol

Clean Hydro is Simple

You can clip flowers from any point in my grow and dry them out. They'll smoke clean, no sparking or popping. My dry cannabis, before curing, is smooth and tasty, curing simply makes everything more complex and amazing. :)

I'll have a crop in about 3 months.
I'm in Fairplay Colorado and I would LOVE for someone to bring organics that beat my hydro. Out of all the challengers so far, none have come even close in quality, potency and outright flavor/aroma density.

Organics depend on "Passive ionic uptake" to feed the plants only what they need. Cannabis is not a vegetable though and is listed as a dynamic/hyper accumulator plant. This means it also absorbs elements outside the passive ionic pathway.

The only way to prevent cannabis from absorbing excess and unwanted elements is to strictly control what the roots of the plant have access to. This also means catering to the pH swing needs for absorbing a minimal (yet complete) nutritional profile.

The plant is much more sensitive to absorbing excess and contaminants than the 'organic' farming industry is used to. Grows awesome cucumbers though. :D

I've been working on my diplomacy for a great deal of time, and I'm still not that great at it.
Your crop sounds like you did a great job, not knocking it by any means.

:)

I think my glaucoma is flaring up ;)

LOL

Edibles are awesome for glaucoma ;)

Not necessarily. "Harsh" can also come from too much chlorophyll, due to a wrong/quick drying process.

I Disagree

My cannabis is not harsh when it's ready for harvest and is simply cut and quick dried.

Slow drying and curing preserves a significantly higher amount of terpenes and the cure allows time for polymerization of the flavors/aromas. I don't cure to remove harshness.

Mmm mm mm.
I just don't understand why growers bother with those crap strains that yeah, tastes like an ashtray.
Gotta get that nice strong 'kushy' flavour!
Thats what i desire.
Mmm mm mm.

There aren't any strains which taste like an ashtray. All cannabis is delicious, unless it naturally tastes/smells like vomit or baby diaper or one of the other exotic, gnarlly strains. lol

Bagseed to elites, they ALL are amazing when grown correctly. :D

Turpenes! Thats the word my dad uses for the best flavor of weed. So good.

Terpenes are amazing, oh yeah :D Love the lemon/limonene the best :)
