Penny reviews: Episode 3; Casey Jones | Shatter |
There's some great local shops here in town that I dip into occasionally and grab a treat! I'm not normally one to go for something as chemically extracted as basic shatter, however this one caught my eye so just based on the name I thought I would give it a try.
The stats on this looked pleasing as well!
This has a wheat and barley smell to it, hints of citrus and fresh bread. The case is convenient and kinda neat to play with, also it appeared to make it much easier to stack in the store which is a good thing as well. I like it cwhen a company thinks about distribution when packaging, very innovative hockey puck styling.
The resin itself is well formed and has a hint of chemical smell to it, it bends and beards with body heat which I like in a good shatter, especially when I'm smoking out of my Evolve plus from youcan. I can just bead it up and drop it into the center of the four coils and it melts out beautifully, or if I'm going for a big hit I can use a flake and drop it over all four coils like in the picture below, it works super well!
This smokes pretty well for a chemical extract, the first flavor is for sure nothing but bleach and windex all chemical, but under that is a lovely nutmeg Basil flavor that is very pleasing. The exhale is full of cough for sure, I hacked a bit each hit but the release is clean and there is a peppermint flavor on the exhale.
This is a good practical sativa, I don't know much about the parent company but they produce a good middle of the road sativa that delivers the thc. I like it and at 20 bucks a gram I have no complaints. The high is not subtle but is enjoyable and uplifting.
It is another experience of smoking and new
For sure;-)
learning new things every day.....I must say though the Teapot/Kettle and Unicorn in the backround grabbed my eye. Is the Unicorn a hot mit?
