Why I Smoke Weed - Marijuana Dreams in the Green Fields of Wisdom!!!
I just read a great post here on steemit posted 8 months ago titled WHY I SMOKE WEED. It would not let me comment so I thought I would do a post of my own.
I started smoking weed casually about 8 years ago, when a family member introduced me to it, which is also around the same time I started doing music full time. It has definitely become part of my life, for the following reasons.
- It helps me sleep better
- It helps with creativity and my songwriting
- It relaxes my mind to think about things deeper
- It helps with aches and pains, tooth aches, headaches, muscle aches. (I'm not one who likes putting pills of any kind in my body even tylenol.)
- I find people who smoke weed are much more laid back and open minded
- Its an absolutely beautiful plant and all the different strands are fun to explore
- I have sick family members who find medical use with it
Understanding the negatives of smoking weed
A list of the drawbacks
- A wide misconception that it is a dangerous drug (Although many agree its less harmful than Cigarettes and Alcohol. )
- Although you dont see much on severe body addiction, I see a lot of people get mentally attached to it and feel they cant live without it. (I have had some moments of my own)
- You can smoke to much, not enough to kill you but enough to feel incredibly paranoid, or get the "Whitey" effect which happens when smoking too much weed, you go pale, feel dizzy and drowsy, and I have heard you can vomit, but I have never seen someone nor myself get sick to vomiting levels.
- Becoming withdrawn (although I think that as we are seeing the age come where people are starting look more favorably on the plant, and this will help with isolation problems caused by smoking to much weed)
- Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (Read a steemit post on it here) @tfeldman which will basically cover some of the points above, but give you a deeper look from the perspective of a Dr.
In conclusion on my understandings of Marijuana, the term everything in moderation comes to mind. I think there are a lot of people finding medical benefits from it, by either smoking it, or eating it, or with the use of oils, but as with most things to much can be a bad thing for its various unique ways. Just like this post here in Womens Health Magazine, even to much spinach can make you sick.
