Today we know that the use of marijuana has a beneficial effect in the following cases:

1) Glaucoma 

Disease caused by increased intraocular pressure, it can be combated with the transient effects of THC in reducing the internal pressure of the eye. There are, however, much more effective drugs.

2) Nausea 

The treatment of nausea caused by cancer chemotherapy, was one of the first clinical applications of THC. Today, the Oncology has more potent antiemetic.

3) Anorexia and cachexia associated with AIDS

 The improved appetite and weight gain in patients with advanced AIDS have been reported for over twenty years before they arise modern antivirals.

4) Chronic Pain 

Marijuana has been used for centuries for this purpose. Cannabinoids exert analgesic effect by acting on existing receptors in the brain and other tissues. Dronabinol, marketed in several countries for oral use, reduces sensitivity to pain with fewer side effects than smoked THC.

5) Inflammation 

THC and cannabidiol are endowed with anti-inflammatory effect which makes them candidates for treating diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, etc.).

6) Multiple Sclerosis 

THC combat neuropathic pain, spasticity and sleep disturbances caused by the disease. The Nabiximol, cannabinoid marketed for this indication in England, Canada and other countries under the name Sativex, is not available for Brazilian patients.

7) Epilepsy

 A recent study showed that 11% of patients were free of seizures with the use of cannabis with high levels of cannabidiol; 42% in the number of seizures decreased by 80% and 32% of cases, the reduction ranged from 25% to 60%. synthetic cannabinoids oral use are released in European countries.

With such a range of actions in such diverse conditions, only very unprepared people can ignore the interests of medical marijuana. What justification to prevent tablets of THC and its derivatives reach those who could benefit from them? It is sure to play sick people in the hands of traffickers?
