Today lets take a look at this mean little 315w (LEC(light emiting ceramic,CMH ceramic metal halide) growroom, really impressed bye this light. This is the second run with the light, first was very good return relative to other HID(HPS, or MH).

These are images are from my intro 5 days ago, you can see the plants reaching and at that time i supper cropped. Bye that I mean took stem between index finger and thumb and pinched it and bent it down away from other branches/the light. This increased other nodes stimulation and growth and makes the plants more robust for the weight to come.
-Flood and drain chamber above^^^-
I am utilizing flood and drain with coco-coir medium. The timer goes off twice a day for 5 mins now that they are into full bud. The reservoir is attached to a float valve and reserve res of 50 additional liters.
-Ventilation
This ventilation system was originally designed for the 400w HPS originally installed. But is proving well over adequate and might need to be downgraded.

it sits around 77FH25c...ducting takes away hot air to exterior exaust....it really is not any hotter under the light than in the outside area....

how are you finding LED?
im in aussie, so its very hot here, thus the LED.
vedge is going fine but it seems some plants can take the light better than others. i have been getting what looks like a snails goop trail all over my leaves, but i think its from the light..
it seems to penetrate less than hid, imo.. the light feels cool when you put your hand under it..
flower i have a feeling the bud wont be dense.. though 400-should be able to get some kind of harvest, the diodes are 5watt i assume..
my op is a mix would be ideal, a mix of led and hps..
the bandwidth has uv spectrum not sure but i think hps and hid may not have these spectrums
hey mate...ya im downunder too...ya i heard the penetration could be lacking and hotspots are common....have you seen lec cmh? pretty amazing light, very little heat, spectrum closest to sun...dense growth..only problem is just 1 wattage atm 315w

I changed my hydro setup for coco coir , no regrets, grows like hydro if you water more then +1x per day ( usually i do 3x in veg and 5x-6x in flowering stage ) . Much less work too. But anyways hydro rules ...
thanks!, yep coco coir all the way...i was on run to waste also....recently changed to homemade flood drain setup....i add a bit of perlite for veg(helps stop root rot bye decreasing water retention)
