IGLIVISION DENVER 420 POT RALLY
I arrived around 4PM sharp to join the festivities.. There were thousands of people waiting in line to enter the safety perimeter fence area and security checkpoints. I walked to the front and an event organizer quickly confirmed my media credentials and got me into the rally in a heartbeat!
A young man text on his phone while eating a giant turkey leg. I thought to my self as the scent of marijuana floated through the air and then realized there was no time to stand in line. The clock struck 4:20 and the clouds of smoke took off roaring into the sky in downtown Denver.
I found a green booth with an app for your phone called MassRoots .. I guess it is going to be the stoned version of an online social network mobile application. You can network with other stoned people who like to get high and take pictures while doing so. There is one disclaimer to it though. Just make sure you live in a legal state before you download the app and start taking pictures of pot!
This modern view on marijuana seems to slowly be connecting us all in a way that is spreading not only through social media but our way of life. The culture here in Colorado has changed for the good and we can share that with everyone around the world one day a year when they come to visit.
It looked like the MassRoots app works because of all the people who ended up at the rally definitely were using cellphones more then smoking weed. They are very busy entertaining their friends back home with the fresh herbs here in Colorado!!! We as a country need to stand up for our rights and if we share what is going on here in the movement it will spread like wildfire ! The world is watching us and looking up to us pot pioneers to lead the way.
One day we will be healing each other with the cannabis plant and will have lots of different uses for marijuana as a medicine. If you don't smoke or agree with smoking that's fine. There are other forms of marijuana that will keep you healthy. Edibles and eating the plant and oils can help to maintain a self sustainable medication without being prescribed pharmaceutical drugs.
In our lifetime we will use the plant for a major food and energy source to help feed starving people around the world. We will continue to boycott the use of fracking and oil drilling and use hemp oils and ethanol fuels made from cannabis. The plant is most powerful when it comes to saving money and stopping things like plastic and synthetic materials from polluting our environment were we live and raise our families.
You must believe that this plant can save millions of children from epilepsy and let millions of people who have been put away in jail for crimes such as possession to be free and live a normal life without prosecution!!
