RE: Legalize or legal lies?!?

in #marijuana6 years ago

When Turdeau - correct spelling - appointed Bill 'Thug' Blair to handle the so-called 'cannabis file' it was instantly clear that 'legalization' would be nothing even close to actual legalization. As many have said before me, the new cannabis laws are in fact Prohibition 2.0. Thug, let's remember, was the Chief Of Police in Toronto in 2010, when the police under his command rioted and violated the clear civil rights of thousands of peaceful protesters, jailing many of them. Not only was Thug in command, he was also yet more proof that what our school teachers taught us about the law was utter nonsense. Remember all that claptrap about those at the top having the book thrown at them when they break the law. What a load. Thug entirely overturned that. He slithered out from under the charges brought against the Toronto Police Department and let his junior colleague, one Superintendent David Mark Fenton take the legal hit. Even at that, the hit was paltry: 30 days lost pay. That is to say, handing Thug the cannabis file is exactly like turning over a review of the sexual assault laws to a violent, unprincipled pimp. https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/cop-who-ordered-mass-detentions-and-arrests-during-toronto-g20-summit-loses-30-paid-days
