[Mapala blog] Moscow, Moscow. You are so surprising! How Mapala leads went to Moscow

in #mapala8 years ago

@dark.sun here, and in this post I’ll tell you about our Moscow trip.

We participated in a blockchain conference, where we presented our Mapala.net project. We were met with a open arms, and we were able to talk with activists from other projects, including:

- AgroCash. They have a site close to Moscow, where they are building a blockchain mechanism for controlling agroindustry. All of that is really distant from us, but Agro-tourism is a topic that works with us. They are in contact with about a hundred of different places and organizers, that work in that industry. We decided to create a section about Agro-tourism, where they would be able to place the information about their travel destinations.

- Growth Party (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_of_Growth) (Enterpreneur party). Talked to a nice lady, who is the right hand of current party head Mr. Titov. He is also a Business Ombudsman (Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights). Talked about their integration into Golos blockchain, but found out that it isn’t a thing just yet.

Unexpectedly we had help with organizing a meeting with investors, and from them we received really useful feedback from them about the needs of business in blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.

In the following days we were deeply engrossed in forming the structure of our organization based on TIPS methods.

A lot of meetings and a huge amount of information are really tiring for me personally. It doesn’t allow me to focus, and a lot of energy is wasted on empty discussions, instead of working on the project.

It was 4 days since the last online session, where we decided on the main branches of our decentralized organization. It was necessary to write up the tasks for each branch, allocate people and start working.

I was finally able get back to coding, and I had only a couple of days to set up mechanism for the upcoming pre-ICO, and the guys went forward with other meetings.

Meet with Sasha Ivanov, founder of the Waves project, was mega-interesting. What can I tell you, other than our project found support, since he saw value from the get go. A flag was handed to us, as well as a drum. Untranslatable Russian humor. )))

We also had a meeting with iziTravel, we were introduced by that right hand lady of ombudsman Titov. They are part of the tourist market for a couple of years now, and are providing the audio guides for travellers (2 million downloads, and a huge base of audio-guides).

Coincidentally, IziTravel are going through bankruptcy procedure and are looking a way to use their huge base. They gave us the access to their API, but we are not in a hurry to connect it. Everything should proceed according to the plan, and we have some more pressing tasks.

Finally we had a meeting with IntellectNet. It was one of the most important meetings in my life, I waited for approximately 2 years for it. I won’t describe the technology here, what they have, and what it is for. I’ll just leave this post on the blockchain, so I can return to it later. I’ll just have to say that woman charged us with her energy, her vision, her knowledge and her scope...

Now it was time to go home, and as for Moscow, it is energetically taxing city for me. But the architecture impressed me. Awe inspiring. I didn’t notice it before, for some reason. )
