Make your own hamburger buns, they can be potato, sweet potato or pumpkin (include ingredients, quantities and step by step) with my recipe or any other of your preference.

All-purpose flour | 500grams |
Mashed potatoes | 125grams |
Water | 175grams |
Egg | 60grams |
Sugar | 30grams |
Salt | 5grams |
Yeast | 3grams |
Powdered Milk | 25grams |
Butter | 30grams |
Step-by-Step process of how i made my Hamburger bun
Step 1
I got all my ingredients measured and ready. I put in my flour, sugar, salt, powdered milk, dried yeast and mashed potatoes into a bowl

Then i mixed them together properly while gradually adding water into it and kneading it.

Next i added my butter, kneaded it properly for 10minutes and got a smooth dough.

Step 4
I Set aside the dough in a greased bowl. This technique of greasing the bowl is to prevent my dough from sticking in it. After that i covered it to rest for 2hours. After which the dough raised to double the initial size.

I placed a wax paper on my tray, spread the dough on the table and press out the air on the dough.

Then i cut out my dough in serveral portions of 90gram and molded it in balls before placing them on the tray. Then covered to rest for one hour.

After one hour, it has increased more in size, i glazed the surface with beaten eggs, added Oregano topping and then i placed it in my preheated oven.

It stayed in the oven for 30minutes and was properly baked to a golden brown.

When tasting the breads, what was your experience like? Did you like them? Explain your answer in detail.
The bread had a fluffy and soft texture that tasted so good and while i was eating the bread i could feel its freshness with its mild flavour and yeasty aroma. Its has little crunchy outter part with a softer inner part that is chewable. At every bite, the Oregano topping gave it a minty flavour.
I loved the outcome, infact we used it for breakfast and everyone loved and enjoyed its mild sweet taste.
In your opinion, what should a hamburger have to be perfect?
For me a hamburger should have a bun dough that is properly kneaded and allowed to rest and raise to give a fluffy effect, having a round shaped golden brown baked bread with a soft texture to bite. The bun should be able to hold the patty together. The patty should contain a meat of your choice welled seasoned and cooked. Have some vegetables like onions, lecttus tomatoes and other condiments of special sauce.
With this an attractive perfect hamburger is made.
