A modern - classic manga has reached its end. Tokyo Ghoul :Re chapter 179 ''Finale'' (spoilers)
So ... a couple of days ago the final chapter of the manga Tokyo Ghoul: Re has been published, which has left me with a vacuum in the chest that will eventually disappear, but for now I just have to endure this existential crisis.
And what can I say about this ending? Well, the truth is that I am very happy and satisfied with this culmination, although I feel that the end of this could have lengthened a little bit longer and this way they would have explained a little more things without having to make a temporary leap so abrupt, I am really pleased that the protagonists of this story had the happy ending that they deserved so much.
The final chapter of this classic - modern manga, yes because I think it deserves this title, begins with a temporary jump of 6 years in which it shows us what it is of the life of the people that most covered space in this series, from a Tokyo that is under restoration after the attack of the '' dragon '' and at the same time the finally awaited union between humans and ghouls that our beloved protagonist, ''ken'', so longed wished for. Everyone (including me) came to think that this manga was going to have a tragic end or at least a sour one, after all one of the most memorable phrases in this manga is the one that Ken says "if you were to write a story with me as the protagonist It would certainly be a tragedy'' However, after all that the main characters of this series especially Ken passed through, all the pain, the tragedy and bitterness, this had the happy ending that everyone deserved and I am very happy that they had it.
From the dissolution of an extremely corrupt CCG to the formation of a new security system called '' TSC '' which is allied with the ghouls, to the creation of the '' United Front '' a unit or body represented by ghouls that is part of the TSC led by the eccentric and charismatic Shuu Tsukiyama, the awakening of Juuzou's mentor, Shinohara, seeing that Ken could survive and that now he has a very adorable daughter with Touka and that he lives happily with them even though he is still being chased and disturbed from time to time by ghosts of his past, he will eventually be able to overcome them completely with the people around him such as his wife and daughter and friends who were accompanying and following him in this story, and seeing all of these well developed and endearing characters having a good life is something that leaves me with a feeling of much satisfaction.
despite the fact that this ending had some cons as they are that there was never an explanation of the whereabouts of some characters as they are Eto, Amon, Akira among others, as I said previously having a somewhat abrupt ending that could be have taken a little more profit talking about the plot. Despite that, I can say that I am completely satisfied and comfortable with this culmination, I have been following tokyo ghoul for about 2 years despite that is not much compared to what other people who follow the manga is since it begin in 2011, I can say that this is one of my favorite series and it has been a great trip so far.
This is my way of saying goodbye to one of my favorite series, sharing my opinion on this platform, Steemit. I hope that the author and genius behind this amazing series '' Ishida Sui '' plans a new project in the near future, without a doubt I will be there to follow and support his work.
Without more to say I leave you with the last page of this manga which causes much nostalgia on me and I know that in all the followers of this series, A coffee making reference to Anteiku the place where everything began, where our protagonist found refuge after being transformed into a half ghoul and where he met many people who greatly influenced his overall development through the time in which this series went on.
Thank you very much Ishida for having shared such an amazing story with us and for giving this so well deserved ending to these beloved characters, We will be seeing soon in another story, until never Tokyo Ghoul.
