Mother's day
Elizabeth. That is how I like to call you. By your name. Moreover how do you call me? Robert. Not son. So, why should I call you mum if you call me by my name? Do you want me to call you mum? So call me son. Have you ever thought about it? They are terms which create distance. Before sons called their mums using the term mother. Which is a term that creates more distance. Moreover, these terms just reflect the relation and the distance between mother and son along the past decades. Time has made these distances shorter and we have moved from mother to mum. I want to make them further short. Showing you the connection between us. Deep. Strong. Everlasting. Never putting apart the concept of respect that a son must show to his parent. It's not the term mum which allow to gain respect for sure.

Festa della mamma
Elisabetta. Così mi piace chiamarti. Per nome. Anche perché tu come mi chiami? Roberto. Mica figlio. E quindi perché dovrei chiamarti mamma quando tu mi chiami per nome? Vuoi essere chiamata mamma? Allora chiamami figlio. Ci hai mai pensato? Sono termini che creano distanza. Prima ancora i figli si rivolgevano alla mamma col termine madre. Che è un termine che crea maggiormente distanza. D'altronde, questi termini non fanno altro che rispecchiare il legame e la distanza che intercorre tra madre e figlio nel corso dei decenni passati. Con gli anni le distanze si sono ridotte e siamo passati da madre a mamma. Ed io voglio ridurle ulteriormente. Proprio a dimostrazione del legame che ci unisce. Intenso. Forte, indissolubile. Senza mai perdere di vista il concetto di rispetto che un figlio deve mostrare nei confronti del proprio genitore. Ma di certo, non è il termine mamma che fa acquisire rispetto.
