Black Mamba - Africa's most dangerous snake
The Black Mamba is by far the most fared snake in Africa. It is the longest African Venomous Snake - (up to 4.5m).
It is the fastest African Venomous Snake.
It is a nervous snake and strikes with little provocation.
It has a long striking range. From a threat display position where it lifts itself up bending the front part of it's body in a "S" shape, I have seen this snake strike a distance of 2m!
It has a powerful neurotoxic venom that can kill a man in half an hour.
Of all the snakes in Africa, this is the one that you are least likely to survive if bitten.

I almost stepped on a baby black mamba when i was hiking in south africa. It scared the shit out of me, I immediately put on long pants, even though it was 35 degrees..
i have always feared that snake and been from africa i see it i run , i have seen people who have died before reaching the hospital

This is one of the most beautiful creatures and also one of the most creepy and dangerous. The black mamba is the fastest snake . These snakes can weigh around 1.6 kgs and upto 3 metres long and sometimes even more. Most of the deaths are reported by the venom of these snakes. @mambaman
