#malta Introduction

Today I would like to introduce my experience in Malta. I used to live there for a few years and now I come back to see my friends and discover more of #Capitalofculture in #Europe.

Just now I have beck from there where very slowly arriving winter time. Temperatures are between 15°-17°and bit cooler in the evening. In this period of the year is very windy but not very wet, like most likely January is. The weather is very good for walking and discover the history of the place.

Off session also got a plus in rental places as a car rental, accommodations. Car rented for a 5 days costs €20 for a credit card holders and €100 for a debit card holders. #Malta covers 316 sq km only with left side driving. There are not many sings for directions so the best way to move around is to use a navigation. This days is a lot of traffic but a lot of road works are already finished and definitely will make you to see more than public transport. Few years back I would recommend to travel by public bus which was a bigger attraction in Malta. Busses were private on cost 45cents for a trip and provide more directions . Drivers own the bus so every one was different and present his own style. Behind driver's seat you could find small chapel with pictures of Maria, Christ and all decorations around it. The door was always open for everyone to jump in or jump off during the trip. Always you have to look where you put your feet because the floor you could find hols. It was always an experience to take the yellow old bus. They were making a lot of pollution and few years back they have been changed for new ones with air condition.rices have changed also. Mostly they have been sold on ebay but you can't find them also in museums. There are still in souvenirs shops of course the litter versions😀

Parking is not a big issue depends where you go. Center like Slima gots a big car park under Tinge Point the shopping center or #Valetta just before you entry to the capital of Malta. Otherwise you can find spots to park on the streets. Some of them got white lines and not meters to pay. Avoid parking in yellow, blue and green spots. This is reserved for locals with permissions.

Beautiful countryside driving gots #Gozo; island that you can cross with Channel ferry. Life there pass much slowly and definitely much more nature to see. Victoria, Rabat is a capital placed in the middle of Gozo. Roads have a lot hols but slowly driving allows to look at the buildings, churches and life of locals. "Gozotans"- people who live in Gozo are part of Malta but you can notice a lot of difference to "Maltese". Departures from from Cerkiewa every 30min and also during night hours. Timetable is available on them web, just make sure you look on the winter's schedule.
