The 567 Things* I learned At The August 2018 Adelaide Steemit Meeting.

The Arrival

Thursday night was the night of the Adelaide Steemit Meeting. I'd just finished work and decided to check out a few stores before heading to The Jade hotel. On my way, I ran into @thevillan coming out of some shops and he offered to drive us both there. We arrived and met @ursa who was reading one of the 'clan bear' novels. @galenkp turned up too and discussed his various passions. @lordnigel arrived and we set about catching up on our lives since our respective last meetings. @mattclarke arrived and we moved to the inner room and discussed whether or not a door was alarmed or not. It wasn't.
@holoz0r and @minismallholding (and family) arrived along with @stuffing, @o07 and @wildflowerjessi
(Apologies if I missed anyone).

Idea Generation

Many ideas were discussed and many projects seem to be in the works. Various projects were offered, and the benefits of investing in Steem Monsters now while everything is still relatively cheap were presented (I've bought a few packs since and found a few 'rare' cards and even an 'epic' card. Right now I am exploring the idea of buying Steem Monster booster packs with Steem itself (it's taking forever for some reason).

Also, sometimes the real benefit of these meetings isn't readily apparent until after you've had a chance to reflect on what is going on. Two artists with different art styles, can combine to create a collaborative artwork with a bit of effort. You can incorporate a musician, computer programmer or a video editor to make all sorts of projects. There are no real limits.

Hi Ho Silver!

@mattclarke brought some silver coins for purchase, and I picked the number 567 out of the limited print run of 1500.
The number has a special meaning to me. And, I also have the option of keeping that particular number when it comes to future coin offerings which is really cool, don't you think?

Anyway, it was a great night catching up with new friends and it sparked a lot of potential ideas for future projects.
Here's a picture of the coin:

*Discalimer: There clearly weren't 567 things learned at the Adelaide Steemit Meeting. It was just clever wordplay.

It’s my favourite day of the month!

Always great to see you, mate. Glad you got a coin.
We always have a fantastic time at the meetups. @holoz0r's video game is coming along nicely, and @wildflowerjessi has jumped into steem monsters too.
We might have to make the next meetup a steem monsters theme.

Yeah they are really good and with good people. That does sound a cool idea.
