Makeup Brushes And Their Uses

The makeup brushes are made of stable hair; they are gotten from horses and are not synthetic except the foundation brush. So if you are finding it difficult to get proper use of your brushes, here is an opportunity for you to brush up your knowledge with my tips/guide to transform the clueless into the confident.

Foundation Brush: Designed to achieve a smooth and flawless finish. The brush has tightly packed bristles with tapered tips for fluid application.

Powder Brush: One of the most common and largest brush which has a wide variety of uses. It is soft, full and rounded in shape and used for compact powder and bronzer. N.B when adding powder to your brush,shake off excess before applying all over your face.

Eye-shadow Brush: It is large,soft,short and brimming with bristles for perfect coverage. The soft bristles have slant edges for a smooth application without dragging the eyelid.

Lip Brush: The bristles are short and firm for controlled application and it is used to blend lip liner/color on the lips.

Blending eye-shadow Brush: Very light brush. It is used to apply eye-shadow into the brow bones.

Concealer Brush: A soft, bristled, flat brush with a wide base and a pointed tip. It is used to apply concealer on spot/blemishes to cover them.

Eyebrow groomer: It is used to keep the brow in shape while carving it.

Mascara/Spolie wand: It is used to get rid of excess mascara from the lashes to avoid clogging and also to tone down eyebrow pencil from brows.

Fan Brush: It is made for use with loose powder. The fan sweeps a light dust of powder onto the skin for a soft effect. It is also used to remove excess powder most especially after applying your eye-shadow.

Blush Brush: Made with fine fibre, it has a rounded head which is perfect for giving a pop colour to the cheeks.

Smudge blush/a sponge application: The foam tip is used to soften the harsh line of the person giving a smouldering finish. It can also be used for creating smoking eyes.

Eyebrow definer: It is used to define and fill the brow for beautifying appearance. The bristles are soft and angled for a control.

Eyebrow comb: Used to shape and tame eyebrow hairs.
