Bright Colors – Cut Crease.

in #makeup8 years ago

This eye makeup look has turned out different than I expected which isn’t a bad thing but I actually wanted to create the look a bit more wearable. (;

Which means that I am going to create the look in my next tutorial. (:

So, today’s makeup tutorial is a makeup look that might not be as wearable as others that I’ve created but you can’t set yourself boundaries if it’s about getting creative.

Let’s start:

Step 1: Concealer.

Add a concealer to your eyelid area that’s lighter than your skin tone. Use a brush or dampened sponge to blend the concealer over the entire eyelid area and blend it into the skin.

Don’t set the concealer!

Step 2: Bright Pink.

Dab on some bright pink eyeshadow into the crease. Start at the outer corner and then blend it towards the mid-section of the crease. Use a blending brush to do so.

Step 3: Neon Orange.

From the mid-section to the inner corner section of the crease, apply neon orange to the crease.
Using a flat eyeshadow brush will be easier since you can control the eyeshadow application a bit more.

Step 4: Blend.

Go back and forth into the two shades and blend them nicely into one another to make sure that there isn’t a line visible anymore.

Step 5: Cut the Crease

Using the concealer from earlier, apply a bit to your mobile lid. Open up your eyes wide to find your natural crease and create a guideline.

Use a concealer brush or a dense eyeshadow brush to cut the crease and blend the concealer all the way out until you can wing it out.

Step 6: Set.

Then set it with translucent powder with a clean eyeshadow brush.

Step 7: Neon Orange again.

Use some neon orange again and apply it to the inner corner and inner section of the lower lash line by using a flat eyeshadow brush.

Step 7: Bright Pink again.

Apply the bright pink shadow to the lower lash line as well and fade it out towards the end of the outer corner.

Also, make sure that you are smoking out the shades on the lower lash line and blend them together.

Step 8: Black Winged Liner

Once you’ve blended the shades, you now can move onto the black winged eyeliner.

I personally like to use a liquid liner pen that has a very fine tip and flexible bristles.

Start by creating a thin line along the lashes and work in steps rather than drawing the line in one go.
Because of the shadow and the concealer, you kind of have a guideline to where the wing should go. Follow your guide and create a bit of a longer wing.

Step 9: Blue Liquid Glitter.

To create a clear line where the crease cuts, use any type of liquid eyeshadow or glitter that dries to apply it to the crease line and wing it out as well.

Let it dry before moving on. Otherwise, it can mess up the look.

Step 10: Liquid Eyeshadow.

I’ve used a liquid champagne shade eyeshadow and put this just underneath the winged eyeliner.
You can use whatever shade you want. This just should give you an idea of how you can use it.

Step 11: Aqua Shimmery Blue.

Use a bit of an aqua shimmery blue in the inner corner of your eye by using a small makeup brush like a lip brush, for example. You can also dampen the brush with setting spray to get most out of it.

Step 12: Eyeliner Pencil.

To cover up the natural skin tone of your upper and lower waterlines, you just need to add a matching eyeliner pencil to it.

For the lower lash line, a dark reddish/rose tone and for the upper some black eyeliner pencil.

This way your waterlines do not distract the eye makeup look.

Step 13: Highlighter.

Using a small eyeshadow brush that you can dampen, dip into some highlighter and apply it to the inner corner and under the brows.

Step 14: Mascara.

Finally, add a few coats of mascara to your lashes to complete the eye makeup look.

Step 15: Lips.

With my lips, I kept it so simple and just popped on an orange/nude liquid lipstick that dries.
If I personally find that there is a lot going on, on my eyes. I like to keep my lips very simple.

All in all, this is the final look and look how beautiful everything came together. Makeup is all about creativity, doesn't matter if it's natural, colorful or dark. It's your own creation and you can be proud of it!
