Hello, and welcome back. Today I have a tutorial for you using the Maybelline City Mini in Urban Jungle. This pallet isn't quite as nice as the other Maybelline City Mini pallets. The shadow colors leave you lacking, but I decided to make it all work and I have a couple tutorials to show you in the coming days. But for now, here's my halo eye shadow tutorial.

I started out using the darkest color (1) of my Elf contour and highlight pallet in my crease. I then topped that with color number 2 in the pallet, also in my crease.

I took color 3 with a small precise brush and placed in in the outer V and then on the first third of my lid, leaving the middle blank of color.

Next I used my finger to apply color 4 to the middle of my eyelid and blending over to meet the dark green on the inner and outer of my lid.

I used some makeup setting spray and color 5 to pack on the middle of my eyelid and then used the same color on my inner corner for highlight.

After apply black pencil liner to my lower water line I used color 2 on my lower lash line (picture is not shown).

Black liquid liner on top, the mascara of your choice and you are complete with the eye look.

While I do like the few looks I got out of this pallet, I still had a hard time with the colors showing up. I really wanted the greens to be more vibrant and with a stark-er contrast from each other. As you can see in the swatches below, the greens are really similar in color and when you apply them on your eyes, they look so close to being the same color that it's hard to get a good look from them.

But, like always, I do what I can to make what I have work. So my next tutorial coming up will be a simple look using this same pallet, but until then, take care!
