Alamar Pallet - Look #2 Halo Eye
Happy hump day!! I am not sure who came up with that, but I kind of think it's stupid.....but I just didn't have any other opening line to give you today.
Well, let's talk about the Alamar Pallet from my June Boxy Charm. I showed you all how to do the orange colored look on yesterday's post. Today we are going to do the blue-green colored eye look.
Let's first point out the two very obvious things here....one I am using shadow shields, I bought these at Walmart in the cosmetic section. Even though I do not have foundation on, I have found that these shadows will fall out on your face and stain quite a bit, so I used shields to keep that from happening. Next thing is that I did use a very light concealer on my lid to brow bone and then powdered them with translucent powder. I typically will use foundation on my eyelids but because I was waiting to do foundation last, I went ahead and did my lids for a blank canvas to work with.
Ok here we go, take color E into the crease with a fluffy brush.
Because we are doing a very slight halo eye, you will take color H and pack it on the outer lid and also on the inner lid, leaving the middle lid bare. Next take the first blending brush and dip it into color H and run it into your lower crease area and connect the two outer corners, still leaving the middle lid bare.
With a flat brush pack color C all over the middle of the lid, where you left blank from previous step.
With the color D, place that on top of the area where you put color C
On the same flat brush, take color B and pack it in the direct middle of the lid to brighten up just the absolute center.
Next we will take color A and pop it into the inner tear duct area for some brightness.
Let's work on deepening the outer V, by getting some of color H on a flat brush and spraying it with some setting spray and packing it on the outer corner AND apply it also on the inner lid, because you more than likely lost a bit of color from the other shadows.
I did dark brown pencil liner in my lower lash line, then I took color H and ran it along the lower lash line to smudge the liner. Then I topped color H with color D and brought it down just a hair farther than H, to allow the green to peek out a bit.
Next I did my foundation, concealer, black liquid liner on top lash line, curled my lashes, applied falsies, mascara, bronzer and blush (Wet N Wild Apricot in the Middle). On my lips I applied a liner (Maybelline Color sensational in Purley Nude) and then a gloss (Lorealy Infallible Gloss in Blush 115).
And there you have it. I really adored this look and just had the best time applying it. I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and if you received the Alamar pallet in your Boxy Charm, you now have two looks you can turn too.
That's all I have for today, I will be back again tomorrow with more makeup. Until next time, take care.
