MakerDAO Governance Meeting Minutes 2017 January 22nd
Formal Governance
Thank you all for joining the formal governance meeting. We have 10 participants on the call today.
This part of the meeting will be recorded and is meant to simulates on-chain proposals. Proposals need to be clearly stated, debated, and generally agreed to prior to the meeting. Once a proposal has gone through these three checks it can be brought up in the formal governance meeting for finalization. Proposals should be posted to forum.makerdao.com and can also be discussed in #proposal-discuss on Rocket Chat
Upon conclusion of the formal portion of the meeting, further topics will be discussed and debated.

Dev Update:
Maker Core
- Explained more core mechanics in the wiki
- Eliminated some calculations by switching from additive representation of rates
- Test harness adapted to new simplified engine architecture
- Daniel, Mikael and Nikolai working on simplifying the engine even further
Maker Market
- Performance optimization and date display updated this week
- Price feed API updated to match Poloniex’s data format
- New UI, with REP and ICN support, running against the main net at http://maker-market.surge.sh/#trade/W-ETH/MKR
- Chart implementation is almost finished, which is the last major task blocking release
Maker Model
- Jake Brukhman of CoinFund is getting started onboarding to the Maker platform in order to create our maker-model economic test environment
Token Auction / Weekly MKR Auction (UI)
- Rain coming back
Simple Stable Coin
- OneUp has been scheduled to create the final piece of infrastructure here, a simple price feed aggregator that will pick the median between three price feeds run by developers.
MKR Sale update
- Andy has transferred 12,000 ETH to the developer multisig from ongoing MKR sales this week
- 2516 ETH for 2100 MKR from Rune
