Mainframe: Proof of Freedom
“The revolution will not be televised”….it will be decentralized and digitized!!
Julian Assange, Che Guevara, Martin Luther King, Nikola Tesla, (even House Atreides, for a fictional example) are just a few who aspired to change the world; yet sadly undone by data (information) breaches. Oh, how much better off we would be (or worse for that matter), if they were able to have achieved their goals. Unfortunately, we will never know; as their missions came to an end due to grave information leaks. If I could travel back in time, it would be to bring the Mainframe platform to these leaders to better enable them in their quest to free society from centralized control.
This is why I believe this phase in the Mainframe Crowd Gift was dubbed “Proof of Freedom”; to prove that participants understand how the Mainframe Protocol will free us from the risks of data centralization. Therefore, to answer the question, I must say that the reason that Mainframe and its’ mission matters to me is that it matters to the greater community which I belong to. We deserve to not have innovation interfered with by outside forces, we deserve to allow progress to proceed without obstruction, we deserve freedom from centralized information systems; as freedom is a right that should be extended beyond the physical and intellectual realms to the digitalized world of information.
It is said that there are many veils between us and the secrets of the universe, which is ironically similar to the veils of protection that the Mainframe Protocol layers our data and communication in to protect our secrets from prying eyes. The a asymmetric keys required to access nodes are the first veil, Dark Routing the second, and a fairly incentivized network of trusted hosts the third. Whether an enterprise or just someone who is one of us, being able to transmit data securely is has been a growing concern over the last few years; and the Mainframe solution is insuring that the free and secure flow of data becomes a right available to all which is enshrined in its proprietary infrastructure. As a business owner that has to often communicate with my staff from various locations, the Mainframe solutions is one that will help me enhance my business activities.
I have been a follower of the project for several months now and have come to realize that the Mainframe team is more than just a group of IT professionals running another company, they are revolutionaries; and revolutionizing data management matters to us all!
