Magic the Gathering (MTG) - Hot Card - Vivien Reid

With the first couple weeks of Guilds of Ravnica released, the entire metagame has changed to the point where a lot of deck archetype are viable in this standard format. For the time being I will be looking at a card that could potentially help you in fighting against some of the top decks in the format.

Vivien Reid is actually a new character we never heard of before until Core Set 2019. I digress. Let's look at this card.

Her +1 effect let's you be able to find either a land or a creature card to help you end the game for attrition while her -3 effect let's you destroy troublesome artifact, enchantment or a creature with flying.

Let's look at some cards that her -3 can hit in this format.

Doom Whisperer
Shalai, Voice of Plenty
Lyra Dawnbringer
Thief of Sanity
Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice
Tempest Djinn
Rekindling Phoenix
Ixalan's Binding etc.

There's a lot of cards you can shoot down with this card so keep this card in your mind when you are up against a G/x Midrange deck

Her -8 effect gives you an emblem where your opponent can no longer sweep your board with destroy effects while giving your team the ability to push through damage while being able to block as well.
