The story of the self: Episode 1: Psycho-hyper-demonism

in #magic7 years ago

"At the end of the day, everyone sells his soul to someone."
John Constantine.

There is something meaningful when you call the self a soul, there is a meaning when you call a character the self and there is something meaningful when you suggest it to your self that this is you. And when all else fails in a circumstance you say "sorry I didn't mean it" or simply you say "I don't know what came over me, this wasn't me" and poof the demon is banished and he/she comes up again worn as a mask by another person you fall to your knees in worship and worship can be assumed as a sexually oriented and symbolized action where either extreme forms of love or hate are shown in symbolism be it by communicating with penis shaped guns or by kissing ovally shaped rocks fashioned into supposedly fictional characters with assumption of divinity in their geometry.

Demons, Gods, comic book heros, where did they come from, what fantasy do they hold our hearts, it is the fantasy of breaking a rule, it is the fantasy of breaking what we hold as a preposition of safety or be it the laws of physics which percieves the reason why your ass is stuck to the chair while reading this is because there is gravity and not because there is a demon holding you from your hips, wouldn't that perception be cool though if we would want investigate levitation.

This is going to be a series exploring magick from the ability to shape-shift reality through the act of storytelling and in the name of the "storyteller" he who uttered the first dream and made it into a fantasy let us begin.

()

The story of the day is the construction of the self, it all started by two brothers lets choose the abrahamic story of Cane and Abel, Cane discovered the desire to kill and the Abel discovered the desire for loyalty and both of them enjoyed the fruits of their desire but one ended up dying and havig his story told as the faithful hero and the other had his story told as the rebellious demon, but when the secret story is told "to the selected few...or supposedly few" Cane was the first engineer, whether those two brothers existed or not; that is not the issue here.

The self is a function of the brain to aid the survival of the body, well that's what the psychologist would say. But let's do a anatomical incision of the self. A beginner in the path of magick would ask why would investigate into that and the badass occultist would say I sincerly had enough of that. My answer is that I find it very useful to work with the selves as a state of mythology as a story as the origin of all mythologies by the prayer of "I wish I could do this".

We all know of how we feel and the whole understanding of I feel about this this way and feel about that that way, and the funny part is how we assume that we are what we are based on how we feel, yet the more we breakdown the understanding into smaller pieces in response to the flow of adrenaline in our system we find out that the body holds onto emotions just like the mind holds onto images and we might be somewhere completely different yet we are still in mind and soul we are in a completely different place. The magick here is to ask yourself how to work with this to your advantage and the mysticism in this case is to ask why that happened.

It really depends how you choose to find meaning for your life whether it being by asking questions that will cause you to just end up in an endless state of dig up or a state of endless strife with nothing being of satisfaction because nothing becomes filling. Thus would it be useful to do both at the same time to dig so as to find short-cuts in getting to where you want to go.

This proposes to us the concept of fate and how wrote it and the search for meaning rather than understanding the ability to give it in the first place. Of course all is true as long as you find away to prove it but to whom and this is message of vehemence waiting for you when you read everything as a story and seeing the possibility of you writing different pathways of the heroes and protogonists of the story. The question this poses would it have an effect on the writer and his audience or would it have a major effect even on the archetype of the story itself, this can give us a broader prespective on the possibility of the relation between the mythologies and their repetitions as the evolution of the character based on making a different choice than what that society had predestined for such a character by change of location.

To end this episode here is a question that I will handle in the next episode HOW?

Hello @iaartsandcrafts! Great article! I am looking forward to the next one!

I like to work magick with different selves. It's very liberating to be able to shape shift in that way. I guess some people have a stronger sense of identity and for them they are just one and the same. I never felt that committed to anything. Nation, religion and other societal and tribal forms failed to capture me and fix me. I don't identify particularly strong with any gender, third gender being the closest to who I feel I am. I feel free to be whoever I want at any given time. This makes it easy to work with different selves.

Magic seems to me very much a process of writing your own story, even if only metaphorically. I am convinced that our experiences can indeed influence the archetypes and their future. It's an interesting relationship that we have with them.

@dana-varahi
Thank you
I know what you are talking about. It feels confusing as well as empowering , but hey you can't really find perfection in an ally (I felt guilty for calling the self a tool) without seeing what you like and what you don't like in them and have a sense of appreciation for how they compliment each other. As for the archetypes and their future being affected by us I would like to think so too, why would they want us to behave in a certain way in their protocols of conduct if it doesn't influence their state of being....but oh yes his grumpiness in the sky comes to mind...."your words don't affect me"....."then why would you burn me".

Extremely well written and interesting!

You are welcome!
I wish you a lovely day :)
