It is masterminded in Barlekha Upazila in Moulvibazar District, Sylhet Division. The waterfall is a notable guest spot in Bangladesh. Tremendous rocks, incorporating forest, and the adjoining streams pulls in various vacationers for outing social events and day trips.

It is Located at 24°38′21″N 92°13′16″E and around 200 ft (61 m) high. It is around five km a long way from Dakshinbagh railroad station on the Kulaura-Shabajpur track (see Akhaura-Kulaura-Chhatak Line), and 350 km from Dhaka city.

Visitors can visit Madhabkunda either from Sylhet or Moulvibazar by road, or from Kulaura Junction by means of train.The outing to Madhabkunda itself is beautiful. In travel visitors can see the greenish grandness of tea plant, the slants and the jumble road through the inclines. Flexible and lemon farms shape a great scene.
