Jungle Daily - Monday Morning’s Giant Moth!

I woke up to find this large moth on the floor of my balcony outside. He was a little too close to the window to get the best lighting to him and still have room to get the camera in the best position but I am pretty happy with the results nonetheless. He is wider than my iPhone 5s from wingtip to wingtip.

These were taken using my Canon PowerShot SX60 HS

Simply a amazing Sally! We have big moths in australia but I’ve never seen one that big or with such delicate detail around its wings. Great photo well done!

Really impressing as an insect !!!
When we think that there are 300 million years some species could reach 1 meter and more sometimes!
These patterns would make a beautiful drawing ...
