Harmless or dangerous flower, beautiful wasp !?

I do not know why, but since childhood I am afraid of wasps. Probably because I saw a boy being bitten by wasps before my eyes. After that, now and dislike, and fear, all in one person. To be honest, they are somehow more aggressive than bumblebees. I do not know exactly what our boys did while they were playing, but one was definitely not lucky .....

And what feelings do these beautiful, bright insects have for you? I love to take pictures, and I always get lucky, someone will come to my photo session, yes, it will fly .... This time it was an ordinary, floral wasp, which can often be found in our gardens and vegetable gardens.

Not a big insect, literally 1 cm, maybe a little more. Even the name makes it clear that they feed on pollen and nectar of flowers. Here and on small things sat down, to enjoy sweets)

It seems to me that even their appearance is harsh) Flower wasps make their nests, usually on tree branches or directly on the ground. The materials used are sand, small particles of clay, bonding with saliva. Maybe then, playing the boys simply did not see their home on the ground and simply someone came.

It is difficult to say whether the wasps are useful or harmful insects. But their bite is very painful and that is a fact. Many people are even allergic to their bite. The difference from a bee is that a wasp can sting several times. This is all due to the structure of its sting. So plus to everything, she also digs her jaw, as if holding stronger on the body.

And, unlike the bee, they are not honey-bearing. Though from them there is a benefit that they destroy harmful insects, caterpillars. But it turns out that very often they destroy useful bumblebees and bees. These are the seemingly beautiful but at the same time scary insects. Many say that wasps do not sting without a reason. But it is not. In very hot weather, when there are so many fruits and tasty nectar around, the wasp can attack, even with a wave of the hand.
