Macro - Lubber Grasshopper Up Close and Personal

This is a lubber grasshopper which is a native grasshopper here in southeast United States. They are quite colorful and can grow large to about three inches. They are usually my nemesis in the garden, but this one was so cooperative and a great model I had to get an image of him/her.
