using a reversed lens gave me the extra magnification i wanted to see more details of the bee , it's really amazing to see how many hairs they have.

Ahh.. Fantastic efforts. I know how tricky it is to reverse the lens and get it right. Did you try focus stacking?
i did indeed use stacking both images are build from 2 images
