Spiders on the brain
Greetings all @eyeofthemind here and thank you for stopping by. Fall is here and so are the spiders. For me, the best time to go hiking in South Korea is in the fall. The air is cool and crisp and you can find such beauty in the quiet forests and mountains. In particular, spiders are a plenty. Luckily they do not weave their webs crossing the trail, because although I love taking photos of these interesting and at times intimidating creatures, the last thing I want is one of these in the center of my face!
Before coming to Korea I had never seen such designs on a spider in real life. Bright colors and a look that spreads fear to most passersby. But they are just minding their business so I don't mind stopping and snapping a few shots. They seem to be ok with it too as long as you don't overstep any boundaries :)

What kind of spider is that?
Just did some researchin. I believe it may be a Nephila clavata. Related to the Golden Orb. Wow, turns out they're a tad poisonous. But are not aggressive
