The Crocus carpetanus is beautiful and delicate plant native to the center and northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, which lives over granitic rocks, in alpine meadows and thin woods.
Its flower has a pale but very beautiful coloration.

Photo taken in Serra da Estrela Natural Park (north-central Portugal).
