Buenas tengan por aquí mis queridos steemians mi entrada para el concurso #macrophoto-challenge
¿Porque escogí las iguanas?
Porque, son unos animales hermosos y son gran parte del ecosistema de mi país (Venezuela), son animales de piel verde, para poder camuflarse en la vegetación, tienen escamas y poseen una cresta que recorre desde su cabeza a la cola, pueden medir aproximadamente 1,5 a 2 mt. Tienen 5 dedos y sus patas cortas con garras afiladas para poder sujetarse de las cortezas de los árboles y ramas, una gran cola larga y delgada.

Because, they are beautiful animals and are a large part of the ecosystem of my country (Venezuela), they are green-skinned animals, to camouflage themselves in vegetation, they have scales and have a crest that runs from their head to their tail, they can measure approximately 1.5 to 2 mt. They have 5 toes and their short legs with sharp claws to be able to hold on to the bark of the trees and branches, a long and thin long tail.
Las podemos encontrar mayormente en regiones bastante húmedas y de vegetación densa (selvas, manglares riberas de ríos), en América central y Sudamérica. Son herbívoras y se alimentan de frutas maduras, hojas y brotes tiernos. Son ovíparas, en el periodo de diciembre a febrero entran en celo y se enfocan es en aparearse, las hembras suelen elegir a los machos más grandes y dominantes, después de 2 meses de gestación, pelean por hacer túneles de 50 cm de profundidad, en donde depositan sus huevos, estos eclosionan entre 70 y 90 días dependiendo del clima.

We can find them mostly in fairly humid regions and dense vegetation (jungles, mangroves riverbanks), in Central and South America. They are herbivores and feed on ripe fruits, leaves and tender shoots. They are oviparous, in the period from December to February they go into heat and focus on mating, the females usually choose the biggest and most dominant males, after 2 months of gestation, they fight to make tunnels of 50 cm deep, in where they lay their eggs, they hatch between 70 and 90 days depending on the climate.
Las iguanas son cazadas por sus huevos, su carne y piel, por ello hay grupos de ecologistas en Venezuela creando conciencia para la conservación de tan hermoso animal, por eso debemos dar nuestro aporte educando y enseñando a nuestros hijos a la preservación y conservación de flora y fauna.

Iguanas are hunted for their eggs, their flesh and skin, so there are groups of ecologists in Venezuela creating awareness for the conservation of such a beautiful animal, for that reason we must give our contribution educating and teaching our children to the preservation and conservation of flora and fauna.I hope you have been to your liking, remember to follow me @mafalda
Esta super la foto de la cara de la iguana, la foto con el bebe esta buenisima y se demuestra lo dosil de esos amimales... me gusta.. espero ganes!!
