testing new macro cameras when it rains

this afternoon when the writer splashed out of the house and found a grasshopper that was perched on a leaf. Not a lot of time wasted, the author pulled out the xiaomi 3X Smartphone from his pocket while praying that the belalang did not run away and ...... portrait !!!

rather difficult indeed to get the focus in the eyes of grasshoppers, the author tried repeatedly in every corner of the shot. Not as easy as getting the focus of photographing foliage and flowers.

the authors admit there are some advantages to take pictures using HP, among others, easy to use, easy to achieve & stored back, and light. Not as difficult and exhausting as when using a DSLR camera
