That Is great to hear they're protected in Ireland - do you know why they declined in numbers?

I'm guessing human interference, destruction of the natural environment essential to the wellbeing of wildlife. Humans pollute the rivers and land with chemicals. Pesticides are widely used by farmers.
Conservationists have now created conservation areas. Children in schools are taught about conservation.
If we see frog spawn anywhere that is dry or public, we are encouraged to either call someone to collect it, or those of us that have suitable land carefully gather it and place it in a safe place. I have managed to collect spawn from road sides and take it to my meadow which grows naturally and has a small river bordering it. They are beginning to thrive there now. 🐸😊

Oh well done, I am sure with care they can come back to full strength - with a little tlc from people like you. I can't imagine a world without them xxx
